Micro-blogging site Twitter has closed Cuban leader Raul Cato's Twitter account. In addition, Cuban government media Twitter accounts have also been suspended.
The move came as Twitter was addressing Cuban President Miguel Diaz Cannell on state television regarding fuel shortages in the country due to US blockade.
In his address, the President made it clear to the public about the shortage of fuel and mentioned the implications it could have. He also informed the general public about how to save electricity.
The Cuban Foreign Ministry has strongly condemned Twitter's ban, saying it was trying to suppress the voice of a revolutionary who spoke in favor of the truth.
