About six programs abroad promote Nepal tour year

Kathmandu Nepal will be participating in about 3 international events within the current financial year, targeting Tourism Year 1. Nepal's tourism board officials say that Nepal will be promoted by attending popular travel shows around the world.

Officials say such events in the main source of regular tourists coming to the market will establish Nepal as a trusted destination among international businessmen. They believe that such events will establish a connection between new and old businessmen and help in consumer targeted tourism branding.
The board is spending around Rs 200 million on budget for the year. Of this, the Board plans to give 100 million cash to the Secretariat and to spend 100 million in promotional programs.

What events are coming to Nepal?

Europe-America: TTG Travel Experience (Italy), International Tourism and Travel Show (Canada), World Tourism Mart (London), Holiday Fair (Austria), Holiday Fair (Netherlands), Adventure Travel Show and Confusion (London). Fair (Spain), EMIT (Turkey), ITB Berlin (Germany), Tourism Fair (Greece), MITI Moscow (Russia), Nepal Sales Mission (US).

Cooperation with the NRN and diplomatic mission

The Board and the visiting year secretariat have plans to seek Nepalese diplomatic missions and non-resident Nepalese assistance in every international event. The Nepal Desk is set up in every country during the tour year and is ready to inform tourists who want to understand Nepal. Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Yogesh Bhattarai has urged the Chairman of the Non-Resident Nepali Association Bhavan Bhatt to provide volunteers for this.

Bhatt, too, had responded positively to the original organizing committee meeting last visit. During the visit year, the diplomatic mission is calling on the heads of nationals of the respective countries to inaugurate the opening ceremony of the tour year. In collaboration with the university and the private sector, the plan to promote Nepal abroad is planned for the year.

What is the preparation within the country?

An Asia Pacific media conference is being planned to spread the word about Nepal in the country during the tour year. A board has been convened to convene a media summit in Asia-Pacific, media persons said.

According to tour year coordinator Suraj Vaidya, there are plans to spread positive news about Nepal during this period to the world as soon as possible. He also urged media and social media users to give priority to positive work within Nepal.

Rotate the head of the diplomatic mission

With the target of the tour year, the heads of foreign diplomatic missions within Nepal will be rotated to different destinations in Nepal. The diplomats have been arranged to arrange the visit on the occasion of the visit, saying that Nepal will be promoted through them. The Board is preparing to implement this program in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

This year, it is also planning to advertise in Nepal on foreign media by targeting the tourist year. Last year, the program was included in the budget. However, the board was not able to implement it.

This year, Deepak Raj Joshi, the CEO of the board, will be broadcasted globally by major media such as the BBC, CNN. According to him, there is also a plan to promote Nepal through platforms such as Trip Advisor, Lonely Planet, the most visited travel site in the world through big media. Cooperation with various media in China and India is also planned.
